Old-Fashioned Oats

I could literally eat this oatmeal every day. Oats are a perfect breakfast because they’re loaded with fiber and complex carbs to keep you fuller for a longer period of time.

I crave oatmeal at least three days a week. I almost always add bananas on top 🙂 It’s boring, but ALWAYS satisfying!

Sometimes, I’ll add a splash of low-fat milk and a few raisins on top! Just to mix it up a little bit!

Old Fashioned Oats & Bananas

(serves 1)


  • 3/4 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 1/2 a banana
  1. Bring water to boil and add in the oats.
  2. Cook on medium heat for about five minutes and make sure all of the water is absorbed.
  3. Then, turn off the burner and mix in the brown sugar.
  4. Slice 1/2 a banana and place on top of oats.
Note: This oatmeal recipe has a thick consistency, so add more water if you like yours thinner.
