A great semester comes to an end…

Hey everyone! My first semester of college is complete and I’m home for the next month for Winter Break! I’m so happy now that I have no more stress from exams, or anything school-related and I can simply RELAX.

Or at least until Dec.19 when my online class starts. Sex, Health and AIDS should be interesting…

And until I see my final grades for the semester. I’m happy that I did fairly well. All A’s and B’s woooo!

Anyways, a lot has happened since I last posted. I have a new part-time job with Herbalife as a distributor. Herbalife is a growing nutrition and wellness company that sells products ranging from protein shakes and bars to skin care products and energy and fitness supplements.  The company targets weight management through good nutrition and personal health.

It’s really exciting because on January 10th, FabULife Nutrition Club is opening a store on campus where all of the distributors at the U of A will be able to work and sell Herbalife products and smoothies.

A few products I’ve tried which have all been amazing are the chicken soup, the chocolate peanut butter and vanilla almond protein bars, Lift-off, the herbal aloe concentrate, and the shampoo and conditioner.

These bars are nutrition packed with only 140 calories and 10 g of protein per bar.

The Herbalife soup packets are also great because they have 16 g of protein and not as much sodium as you would see in a regular can of soup. Only 80 calories as well!

This particular product comes in individually packaged tablets that helps with energy sustainability and mental clarity. I placed one tablet in about 8 oz of water and drank this before my workout this morning.

I definitely noticed a difference!

This one is lemon-lime flavor. Tastes just like sprite!

Breakfast

Big bowl of cereal with KASHI GoLean, Heirloom whole grain flakes, and Arrowhead Mills Puffed Wheat cereal with blueberries and raspberries

After breakfast, I headed to the gym for a much-needed workout. Finals week left me with little time to exercise, so I’m glad that I can get back on track while at home for the break.

Workout

Lunch

When I got home, I was famished so I made one of my old favorites.

Peanut butter and sliced bananas on squaw bread with a side of carrots!

MMMMmmm!!


My plan for the rest of the day is to relax and spend time with my family. I’ll be back tonight with a dinner post so stay tuned! 🙂

And the packing continues…

I swear I am a clean person. I am organized and like to keep my room neat and tidy.

This is what my room looked like while I was packing. IT WAS A COMPLETE DISASTER.

I couldn’t find anything I was looking for and I was stressing out. I leave for Arizona on Friday morning for early move-in since I am rushing!

After much cleaning, I accomplished to get things packed neatly and efficiently.

SURPRISINGLY.

This is all my stuff minus my clothes. I think I did well!

My clothes are another story…

I’ll take care of that today 🙂

Anyways, here are yesterday’s eats!

Breakfast

The bowl consisted of Arrowhead Mills Organic Puffed Wheat, KASHI Golden Goodness and KASHI Cinnamon Harvest + low-fat milk and blueberries.

Lunch

A very yummy and beautiful salad of lettuce, carrots, red bell peppers, edamame and a sprinkle of parmesan cheese.

Alana and I shared the salad and had some Stacy’s Pita Chips on the side.

I don’t think I’ve told you guys about my love obsession for these perfectly baked chips.

Firstly, I only buy the ones from Costco. For some reason, they are much thicker and after tasting the ones from there, I will refuse to buy them from anywhere else.

If I don’t control my portions, I could literally polish off the entire bag, but let’s never go there 🙂

After lunch, Alana, my mom and I grabbed some groceries, which consisted of mainly just a few essentials for the remaining 3 days that I’ll be living at home (YIKES!) The summer has flown by so fast, especially since Jeremy’s Bar Mitzvah.

I grabbed Lucerne yogurt, green apples, bananas, butter (I’m cramming in some baking before I leave!), whole grain bread, and milk.

The rest of my day I devoted to television. I missed Food Network Star on Sunday night!

Dinner

Steak and shrimp stir fry with mushrooms, green cabbage, tofu, carrots, and green onions. YUM!

I’m savoring the last of my home-cooked meals 😦

After dinner, and a little more packing, I watched the new season of Bachelor Pad with Alana and my Mom. We all enjoyed a bowl of popcorn and a healthy Fiber One Brownie. I never got my starch at dinner!

I ended up staying up past midnight since the show was three hours long!

Today’s attractions:

  • going to the Container Store
  • seeing Friends with Benefits?
My days here are limited so I want to make the most of it by spending time with my wonderful friends and family 🙂
