Love is in the kitchen…

Hi everyone! Hope you all had a Happy Valentine’s Day 🙂

Mine consisted of baking, lots and lots of baking! First HOMEMADE cookies, then…..

ELLIE”S CHOCOLATE CHIP CHALLAH!

Since I’ve been busy with school, aka Bio, I haven’t had much time to anything but study. Baking served as a nice break 🙂

I used Katie’s recipe for Oatmeal Raisin Cookies and did half with chocolate chips and half with raisins. Everyone on my floor LOVED them!

And now for the challah!

 Mmmmm. AMAZING. I had so much fun at JAC last night making challah with a few of my sorority sisters!

As for this past weekend, we had a Valentine’s Day themed Date Dash that was a lot of fun!

Anyways, the next few days/ weeks are gonna be super busy because the FAB-U-LIFE Nutrition Store is opening next week. Crossing my fingers for Wednesday!

I told you all about Herbalife Nutrition a few posts back, and let me just remind you all again that these products are INCREDIBLE. I just got back from a training with the entire group and I am beyond excited!

Merry Christmas!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

I hope everyone is having a nice holiday with family and friends 🙂

This morning, I woke up and made Katie’s blueberry pancakes for everyone! They were delicious… and the perfect texture.

Nice and THICK!

Pancakes are a treat but remember, they can be healthy too!
If your favorite recipe calls for white flour, substitute it for whole wheat pastry or any other kind of whole grain flour! The result will be a nuttier flavor that is a little more dense.

These were seriously so yummyyyyy you have to try them!

 I enjoyed mine with a teaspoon of maple syrup and half a grapefruit 🙂

My plans for the rest of the day will probably just be to relax and watch movies! We’ll most likely catch a flick tonight.

Mastro’s Recap

Hey guys!

Sorry I haven’t kept you all posted about my dinner at Mastro’s last night! Been super busy spending the day with Alana, her boyfriend, Chase, and a few of his friends!

We went miniature golfing!… unfortunately, I was having an off day and LOST!

Here’s what I ate yesterday though. Lots of good stuff!

Breakfast

I made breakfast for mom, Alana, and I. A mini whole wheat and corn tortilla with a plain egg, black beans, laughing cow cheese, a small amount of shredded cheddar, and salsa. All wrapped up into pure deliciousnesss 🙂

At school, I live right above a little grocery store called Highland Market. They’re known for their breakfast burritos which are filled with a variety of meats, cheese, and potatoes. People get them at any time of day… even at night  ESPECIALLY at night. Try 3 a.m.!

Anyways, they’re amazing but HUGE and super fattening. This is a lighter version that is just as satisfying without all the unnecessary fat and calories!

Lunch

Amazing rainbow salad with beets, red bell peppers, mushrooms, carrots, blueberries, dried fruit, feta cheese, and slivered almonds. + some pan fried tofu (unpictured).

DELICIOUSSSS.

Dinner

Let me just say that Mastro’s Steakhouse is my new favorite restaurant. And that is not such a good thing because it is super pricey and it’s one of those “special occasion” places.

This dinner was to celebrate my Dad and my cousin, Scott’s birthdays.

But everything, as I expected, was great. The service, the food, the atmosphere. EVERYTHING.

We started off with an enormous seafood tower that had lobster, jumbo shrimp, oysters, and Alaskan crab legs.

Plus, some pretzel rolls. My fave. ❤

For my entrée, I ordered the petite filet done medium well (I don’t like much pink in the middle. I like my meat cooked veryyy well).

Plus I had a little bit of each of the side dishes that everyone shared family-style.

Lobster mashed potatoes, steamed broccoli, roasted brussel sprouts, and baby mushrooms! The steak was so soft and moist and the side dishes were all TO DIE FOR.

The brussel sprouts were my personal favorite!

After dinner we went back to their house to open Hanukkah presents (a few days early!). We had so much fun and I want to thank my family for the cute Splendid leggings they got me, as well as for the amazing dinner! Such a special treat!
